Importing the FTC Do-Not-Call List

Updated August 13, 2026

FTC Do-Not-Call import

SalesFury can import numbers from the FTC Do Not Call (DNC) Reported Calls Data API. These are numbers consumers reported for unwanted calls and robocalls. Importing them adds each to your Do-Not-Contact list (blocking calls and SMS) so your team never dials a flagged number.

Import from the staff dashboard

Go to Staff Admin → Do-Not-Contact List and use the 🏛️ Import FTC DNC Data panel. Choose how many days to look back, a max record count, and optionally "robocalls only," then click Import from FTC.

What happens to matches

When an imported number matches a contact in the platform, that contact is:

Phone matching is format-agnostic, so (678) 505-0054 and 678-505-0054 both match.

Schedule daily updates

The FTC updates this data each weekday around noon Eastern. To keep current, schedule the management command via cron:

0 13 * * 1-5  cd /root && python3 manage.py import_ftc_dnc --days 1 >> /var/log/ftc_dnc.log 2>&1

For production volume, set a free api.data.gov key via the FTC_DNC_API_KEY environment variable (the built-in DEMO_KEY is rate-limited).
