New Deal Alerts

Updated October 16, 2026

What you get

When a rep opens a deal, admins and managers receive a 💰 New deal notification with the value, the account and who opened it, linking straight to the deal. Optionally the same alert goes out by email.

This fires from both places a deal can be created: the full New Deal form and the quick-deal panel on a contact.

Settings

Admins configure this in Settings → 💰 New Deal Alerts:

Set a minimum if your reps open a lot of deals

Small deals are the ones reps create all day. Alerting on every one of them is how a notification channel gets muted — and a muted channel takes the big deals down with it. If you only want to hear about serious opportunities, set a floor.

Who is told

Owners and admins always. Managers only if they have the View all deals permission, since an alert about a record they cannot open is worse than no alert. Whoever created the deal is never alerted about their own work.

If the email does not arrive

The in-app notification always appears; the email is best-effort and is skipped for anyone with no address on file. A mail problem will never block a rep from saving the deal.
