Creating and Managing Deals

Deal Management

Creating a Deal

  1. Click + Add Deal from the Deals page or dashboard
  2. Enter a title (e.g., "Acme Corp — Enterprise Package")
  3. Link to a contact and/or company
  4. Select a pipeline stage
  5. Set a deal value, probability, and expected close date
  6. Optionally add a description and lead source

Starting from a Template

If your organization has set up deal templates, pick one from the dropdown at the top of the New Deal form to pre-fill value, stage, probability and description. Company, contact, lead source and close date are always yours to enter. See Company Deal Templates.

Who Owns the Deal

Whoever creates a deal owns it. Sales reps see only their own deals; admins and managers see everything and can reassign. See Who Can See a Deal: Ownership & Reassignment.

Weighted Pipeline

The dashboard shows both Total Pipeline and Weighted Pipeline. Weighted value = Deal Value × Probability. For example, a $10,000 deal at 50% probability contributes $5,000 to the weighted pipeline.
