Nothing usable gets thrown away
SalesFury used to discard any imported row that was missing a first or last name. A list of 500 leads with only email addresses would import as zero contacts, and the only clue was a line in the error list.
That is no longer the case. A row is skipped only if it has no identifying detail at all — no name, no email, no phone, no mobile and no company. Anything else is imported.
What gets flagged
If a contact arrives without both a first and last name, it is created and marked Needs Review with the reason “Imported without a full name”. You will see a yellow banner at the top of the contact record.
Finding flagged contacts
- The import results panel shows a count of incomplete records with a direct link.
- Or go to Contacts and add
?review=1to the URL. - Open a contact and click Mark Reviewed once you have filled in the gaps.
How unnamed contacts are displayed
A contact with no name still needs something to show in lists. SalesFury falls back in this order:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone or mobile number
- Company name
- “Unnamed Contact”
Duplicate handling
Duplicate detection keys off the strongest identifier a row actually has: email first, then full name. Two different phone-only rows are treated as two different people, which is what you want — previously they would have collapsed into a single record.
Note: the Needs Review flag is shared with other features, including the “Wrong number” action and FTC DNC scrubbing. The review list may contain contacts flagged for those reasons too.
